The
Land of my fathers
The land of my fathers
What a heritage it had
Peace was part of our lives
Though divisions we had
But violence now stalks us all
There is distrust everywhere
Is there hope for my land?
Is there hope for my land?
Yes! The Cross of Christ Jesus, the fountain of love
The Cross of Christ Jesus, the rock of refuge
The Cross of Christ Jesus, the triumphant arch
The Cross of Christ Jesus, the true sign of hope
The land of my mothers
Where innocence reigned
Round a fire at the center
We chatted and embraced
But hatred now has scattered us
There's blood stain everywhere
Is there hope for my land?
Is there hope for my land?
The land of my fathers
With a culture of its own many tongues held us close
Plural views did we hold
Now intolerance has marred it all
There's conflict everywhere
Is there hope for my land?
Is there hope for my land?
The land of my mothers
What a fullness we had
We played and we all laughed
We were born of one womb
But wounds need now healing touch
There is brokenness all around
Is there hope for my land?
Is there hope for my land?
In the land of my parents
At the cross roads of time
We all stand together
In need of His grace
The tears of great suffering
Robbing children of their smile
Is there hope for my land?
Is there hope for my land?
Back to
The Bible
Back to the Bible a lamp to
our feet
Back to the stories so wondrously sweet
Back to the promises precious and sure
Back to the Bible and God
Back to the Bible and back to God
Back to the pathway our parents have trod
Back to believing and cleaving to the Word
Back to the Bible and God
Back to the Church and the joy that I knew
Back to the life that is faithful and true
Back into service my own place to fill
Back into doing His will
He came
singing Love
He came singing love
And He lived singing love,
He died singing love
He arose in silence
For the love to go on
We must make it our song
You and I be the singers
He came singing faith
And He lived singing faith,
He died singing faith
He arose in silence
For the faith to go on
We must make it our song
You and I be the singers
He came singing hope
And He lived singing hope,
He died singing hope
He arose in silence
For the hope to go on
We must make it our song
You and I be the singers
He came singing peace
And He lived singing peace,
He died singing peace
He arose in silence
For the peace to go on
We must make it our song
You and I be the singers
O
Healing River
O healing river, send down
your waters
Send down your waters upon this land
O healing river, send down your waters
And wash the blood from off the sand
This land is parching, this land is burning
No seed is growing in the barren grounds
O healing river, send down
your waters
O healing river, send your waters down
Let the seed of freedom awake and flourish
Let the deep roots nourish, let the tall stalks rise
O healing river, send down your waters
O healing river, from out of the skies
Praise
The Lord now
Praise the Lord now let
everybody here-clap hands!
All around the world from far and near-clap hands!
For with joy we will sing to our everlasting King-clap hands!
For the Lord is worthy of our praise-clap hands!
Sing His praise-for He is worthy
Shout for joy-your voices raise
To our everlasting Father-give Him all your praise
join in song with the hills and mountains
Be led forth in joy (2)
Trees shall grow instead of briars
That nothing ever shall destroy
Abundant
Life
Hear the loving voice of Christ our Lord
Calling gently through our daily care and strife,
"Take my hand, and follow Me,
I have come to set you free
I have come to offer you abundant life."
Abundant life He gives,
Abundant life He gives
I put my trust in Him alone,
Abundant life He gives
Lord in you our faith and trust shall be
As we share your word will all humanity
And our hope will ever be,
That all human kind will see
In the love of Christ we live abundantly
Alleluia, laud and glory be
Father, son, the Spirit, blessed Trinity
We will sing our thanks and praise
To the ending of our days
For abundant life in Christ eternally
I want
to know you
In the secret, in the quiet
place,
in the stillness you are there
In the secret, in the quite hour
I wait only for you
Cause I want to know you more
I want to know you
I want to hear your voice
I want to know you more
I want to touch you
I want to see your face
I want to know you more
I am reaching for the highest goal,
that I might receive the prize
Pressing onward, pushing every hindrance aside,
out of my way
Cause I want to know you more
Come to the
Water
You said you'd come and
share all my sorrows
You said you'd be there for all my tomorrows
I came so close to sending you away,
But just like you promised, you came here to stay
I just had to pray
And Jesus said
"Come to the water, stand by my side
I know you are thirsty, you won't be denied
I felt every tear drop, when in darkness you
cried, and I strove to remind you,
It's for those tears I died"
Your goodness so great, I can't understand it
And dear Lord I know now that all this was planned
I know You're here now and always will be
Your love loosened my chains, and in You I'm free
But Jesus why me?
Jesus I give You, my heart and my soul
I know now without God, I'll never be whole
Savior, You opened all the right doors
And I thank You and praise You from earth's humble shores
Take me I'm Yours.
The
Church's One Foundation
The church's one foundation
Is Jesus Christ her Lord;
She is His new creation
By water and the Word;
From heav'n He came and sought her
To be His holy bride;
With His own blood He bought her,
And for her life He died.
Elect from every nation,
Yet one o'er all the earth
Her charter of salvation-
One Lord, one faith, one birth;
One holy name she blesses,
Partakes one holy food;
And to one hope she presses
With every grace endued.
'Mid toil and tribulation,
And tumults of her war,
She waits the consummation
Of peace for evermore;
Till with the vision glorious
Her longing eyes are blest,
And the great church victorious
Shall be the church at rest.
Yet she on earth hath union
With God the Three in One.
And mystic sweet communion
With those whose rest is won;
Oh, happy ones and holy!
Lord, give us grace, that we,
Like them, the meek and lowly,
On high may dwell with Thee!
